Windows 10 Pro
I tried Ctrl, Shift, Alt to deselect the object. Anyone know of a way. I had a situation where I was needing to leave one specific text box in it's location on the page that was surrounded by a group of other objects that I wanted to move.
Edit. Holding the Ctrl button down does actually work for deselection of objects in in a group selection.
Is there a way to deselect one specific object in a group selection?

Hello, Hammer
As I see you found in your edit, yes, Ctrl+Click is the only way to remove an item from the selection group. This can cause some headaches when the object in question is behind another transparent item - but sadly there is no "good" way to prevent that specific issue..
Kind regards,
