I use the latest version: 2.0 Build 40.5 on Windows XP Pro SP3
When several documents are open in a way the a few are invisible, if you click on the last partially visible one and if only a few millimeters of it are visible, instead of becoming fully visible, the tab is closed.

Have you enabled "Show close button on each tab" in Preferences, General?
Are you talking about a few millimetres of a tab on the left or the right end of the tab bar? I am unable to reproduce the problem unless I click on the close [X] button, which would, of course, close the tab instead of focusing it.

Re: Bug Report: Tab Closed Unwantedly
A few millimeters on the right end of the tab bar. And I don't click on the close button, but on the little which is visible from the tab and it closes. And anyway the close tab is located on the right side of the tab and it's invisible, so I couldn't possibly click on that.
There seems to be a threshold level for this to happen. If the visible length is not small enough, it won't happen.

If the few millimetres of tab is at the left end, the only thing you can click on is the close button.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:Are you talking about a few millimetres of a tab on the left or the right end of the tab bar?
If the few millemetres is at the right-hand end of the tab bar, then what happens is that the tab comes into focus, and the close button is right underneath the mouse where you just clicked. So I suspect that you are clicking twice.
I am unable to reproduce the reported behaviour.

2 helvib: can you send a screenshot of tab bar in the state when trouble is reproduced?

In the photo, as you see the last partially visible tab (with the title "A His...) is not focused. Now if I click on it, instead of being focused, it will close.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
