Firefox 3.0.4 PDF-XChange Viewer Vista 64bit Problem

Post by DocEvil »

Ok, now a simple Question.

Any Chance to view with these Settings a pdf file inside the Browser Firefox ? Because i tried to copy the Plugin manually, i followed the Answer in the FAQ but nothing happend. I still getting noc pdf files in a brwser tab opened, just in the extern viewer.

Any chance that this situation will be fixed soon?

as i mean, i tried everthing, now let me explain, what i had done:

I installed it, after the installation I tried to open a pdf with my firefox...nothing happend, so I checked the plugin tab in Firefox, no entry there, so I copied C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange Viewer\pdf-viewer\npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\plugins.

After that, I restart Firefox, and oho, in the plugin tab now the Entry from PDF-XChange Viewer appeared. New Try to open a pdf in my Brwoser failed again, only blank Site on my Browser.

After this, i went to this Forum, and found this Solution here described in the FAQ: https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/ ... =29&t=3853

But the same result, no pdf opened in the Browser, only blank screen.

Any Ideas , what's wrong with my Firefox, or my Installation, and of course, PDF-XChange Viewer is the only Reader I installed on my Computer, no adobe or similar tools installed on it.

Trouble is because Viewer is x64 (x64 installed by default on x64 system), but FireFox is x86.

No - of course not we are telling you that Mozilla cannot interface with our product on a 64 bit machine natively - at least not without without some
fudging.
- for sure.

There is a huge difference - also is it our fault Mozilla does not have a 64 bit release, for your 64 bit machine ?

In any case, into the next build we will support opening PDF into 32-bit browsers even under x64 windows with x64 version of the viewer installed.
