I started using the pdf-XChange viewer, currently free version for evaluation. I tried to modify an existing text which has not been added using the typewriter.
What I did:
- marking the text with the "text/object selection" tool
- right-mouse click and selecting "text properties"
- changing the text in the Content-category
The bad thing, the Apply button remained disabled! All changes were lost when exiting the properties dialog!
Also I wasn't able to change the format of teh selected text.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Changing text properties
PDF-XChange free Viewer cannot edit PDF files. You can only apply text properties to annotations, such as text boxes. Existing text can be highlighted, underlined, struck out, etc., but you cannot do more than mask it out with a white filled text box and type over the top. The original text will still be there and can be copied.
