Update not available

Hi,

I have updated using Live Update successfully before, but recently it seems to not recognize that an update is available. I currently have 2.0.0040.5, but want to update to 2.0.0040.7 (release date: 25-11-2008). However, I get this message:

Your installation is current-no update is available
No Update required

Why won't it update?

Update suffers from such problems from time to time. Just download the full install.

OK, thanks. I sure hope this doesn't happen again, since manually downloading the full install and running it is a lot of time/work wasted for such frequent update releases. Live update is so much simpler.

If I don't do the install and wait, will the Live update recognize the update later or any subsequent updates? Or is the install necessary because something is permanently broken in my Live update?

Are you saying that you did not encounter the problem yourself as of late? If not, why might it be unique to me?

Hi,

The problem was related to some chanegs required (mainly for Vista/UAC control) and required a couple of builds to get 100% right.

The LiveUpdate application can now be updated prior to the main update happening - which allows us to set the install up for any such alterations as they may be required in the future etc.

Thus - any problems in the future should be seemlessly corrected.
