Hi,
You PDF viewer is a great tool. I have one issue: the comments do not handle Arabic fonts. The fonts appear, but in opposite order, as Arabic is a right to left language. This holds true even if I switch languages under settings.
Thanks,
Terje Tonsberg

Re: Right to left text in comments
Just curious. How are English words handled in the Arabic environment? For example, what happens when there are English-named files and Arabic-named files in the same folder in Explorer?

Nothing really happens. Explorer handles it fine. I work a lot with both languages. Maybe I can be more helpful if you could be more specific.

How? English names displayed left to right and Arabic names displayed right to left in the same folder? What happens to the size, modified date, etc. columns?terje wrote:Explorer handles it fine.

The explorer tree is left aligned as always, but the Arabic fonts are right to left.

Understandably so. Hopefully it is clear now.infimum wrote:Are Arabic names right aligned while Engilsh names are left aligned in the same folder?terje wrote:but the Arabic fonts are right to left.
The Arabic fonts are right to left, but everything is aligned as in the English version. Only the order of the Arabic fonts is different. In English, if the fonts were right aligned and I wrote "run" I would get "nur". This is the issue at hand. The left alignment of blocks of text in explorer is not such a big deal, because it is readable. It only becomes annoying in a word processor or the like.

As always, to the right.

Nothing is different except the font direction, as in the run-nur example.

So, in your example, there are files like "nur".pdf? I would say this is a big deal. It would be quite annoying. So, even Microsoft can't handle Arabic completely right. Don't people complain?terje wrote:The left alignment of blocks of text in explorer is not such a big deal, because it is readable.

Re: Right to left text in comments
I should foreword this problem...
I can't write with Arabic Or Hebrew languages, Because both of them are right to left direction, Also, Arabic characters should be attached with each other, but i dose not look like that with:
PDF-Xchanger Viewer (v2.0 b41.0 Rc1) + vista
Any one could help or make as a bug?
