Default font change won't stay

Post by bbcompent1 »

I have gone through the normal steps of creating a typewriter text box, then right click and set as default. However it will not stay to what I set. It defaults as Courier New no matter what I do.

You're setting the default properties of text boxes, not the default properties of text.

Right-click, Text formatting, Set current text formatting as default, is the option you want.

I do not get that option at all. Text Formatting is not an option available to me.

The Text Box has to be in typing mode, not just selected as a box. The easiest way to ensure this is to select some of the text in it and R-click, then select text Formatting.

Took me a while to realise this.

  • Select the text.
  • Format it from the properties toolbar
  • Right-click on the text and select Text formatting
  • Set current formatting as default
Do not select the text box — select the text or insert the text cursor in the text box for editing the text.
