Can't get PDF's to display in browser

Post by Bob Coleman »

PDF-XChange Viewer Version 2.0 (Build 41.2)
IE 7
Firefox 3.0.6

I can't get the viewer to display PDFs in a browser.

I just uninstalled and then re-installed the viewer.

The viewer is the default application for PDFs. (Double)Clicking a PDF file on disk results in the file being displayed in the viewer.

In Preferences -> File Associations, "Display PDF in Browser" is checked.

If, in IE, I click a link for a PDF, the PDF opens in a separate viewer window.

If, in Firefox, I click a link for a PDF, I get in the browser a blank page with a PDF Viewer icon in the middle.

Can you try to manually run the following commands:

1) PDFXCView.exe /RegServer
2) regsvr32 PDFXCviewAx.dll
3) regsvr32 PDFXCviewIEPlugin.dll

And, after this, check again if the problem still here.

I ran those three commands apparently successfully (no response from the first), but there is no change in behavior.
