Text box - save bug
This is a strange, new bug. Open two pdf files. Draw a text box in one and type something in it. Now, leaving that text box active (without clicking anywhere else), click on the tab to switch to the other pdf. Now, go back to the first pdf. Notice that even though you add new text boxes, comments, underline, etc., the save option never becomes available. The blue floppy-disc shaped icon remains dim. Only SAVE AS and SAVE COPY AS remain available as saving options in the file menu. If you click the X in the tab to close the file, you are given the option to save, but you cannot save as you work. Until this is fixed, to avoid this problem, never switch to another pdf while a text box is active/open.

Re: Text box - save bug
Unable to reproduce the problem here on Windows XP Home, PDF-XChange build 41.3
The save icon becomes greyed out when I switch to the unmodified document, but becomes active again when I switch back to the modified document by clicking on the document tabs. The same for the save option on the file menu. The text box loses its focus, and the text box tool becomes active, that is all.
I suggest exporting your settings to a data file from the Edit menu, zip them up, and attach them here for Tracker support to take a look.
Are you using the portable version or the standard version? Do you get a warning to save the changes if you close the modified document?

Re: Text box - save bug
I had this on the last build; just tried with 41.3 and it's the same.
The Save upon closing was a relief as I'd added several (non-contextual) boxes so there would have been significant work in replicating them.
Even adding some other item doesn't reactivate Save.

I'm using Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3, Viewer Version: 2.0 (Build 41.3). I do get a warning and an opportunity to save when I close the document.
