copy/paste of objects ?

I have a PDF created from a spreadsheet; and now I want to add some comments. I want to use the typewriter tool, because the comments will fit into the lines, and I can use green /red background. Becasue there will one be two commnts: green "yes", and red "no", I wanted to create them once, then use copy/paste.
But the Copy/Paste menu items are all incative.
(Also for other objects e.g. stickers, rectangles etc.)

I assume this is a feature which is planned but not yet implemented.
Am I right ?

I've now created clones of the typewriter tool with green/red backgrounds etc., but it would be much easier if it was possible to copy/paste an object.

Create custom stamps instead. Use 32-bit transparent PNG images.

Yes, I thought about doing it with stamps. But now, I like the cloned typewriter tools more, because I now have instant red and green labels with possibility to easily use them with other texts.
