Browser Plugins Not Recognizing Registration

Post by Cadillakin »

As the title says..

I'm a new user, registered yesterday my version of PDF-Xchange Viewer. Everything went fine on install. Everything is also fine when I invoke the PDF Viewer. All Pro functions are available to me.. The adbar is hidden.

But when the browsers are opened by either a local pdf file or a webpage pdf file, the Viewer loading is the free addition. Therefore, the functions that I want and paid for are not there for my use. Oddly, when the browser plugin loads the Viewer, the menu bar and preferences area for the Xchange Viewer do NOT include a registration category. So, I cannot see any status of my registration. But if I open the Xchange Viewer on the desktop at the same time, my registration info is right there in preferences for my confirmation. Something regarding this disparity is probably the issue.

To be perfectly clear, Edit-Preferences-Categories-Registration does not exist within the browser plugin, preferences menu. Also, Ediit-Preferences-Categories-File Associations also does not exist within the browser plugin. But they are both there if I open the Xchange Viewer directly without the plugin.

No issues with the specific plugins, as the condition occurs with both IE and Firefox.
No issues with Registration number.. That is fine and of course, the Xchange Viewer recognizes it's valid...
I'm an advanced user and completely cleared all previous pdf associations to everything that was previously on the computer, both from the registry and file system...
I have installed and reinstalled more than a half-dozen times. Booted and rebooted. Same issues.

It's seemingly about the plugin not getting/reading the registration info. Tracker Software support said he would report it to the developers.

I'm running XP-SP3. Any ideas?
