Hi all,
There is new feature i want to suggest you.
With adobe, it is possible to search INTO pdf files in the windows seach function (start menu -> search -> text into files).
But when i uninstall acrobat and install PDF-Xchange Viewer, the search never find anything ...
After some time with google, i found this page many times, it's named IFILTER.
A found this program for :
- Adobe Reader : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ ... ftpID=2611
- Foxit reader : http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/ifilter/
I don't want to use this IFILTERS so is it planned you to create this software ???
It will be very fine if you can do that, for all PDF-Xchange Viwer users ...
Thanks for your opinions.

Re: Search into PDF using windows search function
Hi James Patageule,
We do have a tool that allows you to search through the text in a pdf file using the windows search.
you will need to install the Shell Extention file that is in the viewer installation archive
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/download/PDFXVwer.zip
Please note that this shell extention implements the IFILTERS you don't like much but this is the way to do it.
Regards,
Stefan Dzhukelov

Re: Search into PDF using windows search function
Hi,
Thanks for the answer, but it seems to be a mistake.
On my workstation, i installed PDF Xchange Viewer AND PDF Xchange Shell Extentions (lastest releases), but when i use windows search and when i try to find a word in a PDF, the file isn't found !!!
The same test with Adobe IFILTER installed and PDX Change removed works fine ! but i want to keep PDF Xchange ... i don't know why it doesen't work !
An idea ?
