I have fairly regular system hang problems. I have watched it closely and found that it only occurs when the pdf is on a network drive.
It appears that it loses connections and then hangs because it has lost connection to the mapped drive. This never occurs when PDF XChange Viewer is not open. It occurs in no other programs.
As a general rule I only become aware of the problem when I try to do a save and it hangs on the save. Then it appears that the drive letter is lost (does not appear in Explorer) and all programs running off that drive are non responsive. Eventually PDF XChange Viewer errors out and closes, the I drive appears again and all other programs continue along their merry way.
Any ideas? Will have to switch products if this can't be resolved.

Under Help on the menu bar please use the report a problem link, in your description also so state what version of windows you are using. This method will submit extended system and program information directly to our development team so they can have a better handle on assessing your save issues.

Please use the option 'Help -> Report a Problem'
as this will provide extra system info to allow us to investigate, also be sure you have the latest release cleanly installed by uninstalling - rebooting and re-installing - just in case :
