Updater Curiosity...

Post by Kilmatead »

Not sure if it's a fault or a plea for personal awareness, but it's curious that whilst the MSI installer for x64 (Build 41.5) offers the choice of whether to install shell extensions or not, if they're specifically not installed, the updater still offers the latest upgrade of the shell extensions.

Is this intentional? One suggests that if they are not installed, it's logical not to offer to upgrade them.

And, just out of interest, if they are subsequently uninstalled, the appropriate folders are removed, however, the shell extensions still remain functional, even after a reboot.

(Not the end of the world, just thought I'd mention it; at least it's a change from anyone complaining that they don't work :D)

Indeed this is nicer than a complaint! It's always good to catch feedback like this though. Keep it up. :-)
