Extract and e-mail

Post by davidmix »

Is it possible to extract a page(s) from a document and then e-mail it without saving the extracted page(s) first? The e-mail buttons are greyed out until you save it

Document -> Extract Pages offers options for pulling pages from a multi page document. At this point you would need to save the new document then email it.

Is that going to give you what you need?

Thanks for the response, but what I am tring to do is avoid saving the document. With this application it seems like you must save it and then send it. With the 'other' application you can extract and send without saving the document.

The reason for the q is that often I just want to send part of a document to somebody without having to save it and then delete it. It creates steps which I do not need.

Actually each program must save document before sending (maybe into a temporary file or memory), so you are not fully correct .

Will see what can be done to reduce the user interaction required when sending documents.
