I was wondering if there are any plans to have office 2007 styles incorporated into the PDF-Xchange ActiveX. This would be a really nice touch as I (and probably others) are developing using this new style

Re: Office 2007 Style...
According to voting on this forum most of the people don’t want to see Ribbon in PDF-XChange viewer. But still - if you developing your own application with Viewer ActiveX - you can make any UI what you want (or what your IDE allows you to do).

Re: Office 2007 Style...
In the activex you can obviously call up all the menu bars and obviously clicking on the buttons execute commands for the button. If however I wanted to create my own buttons in office 2007 style is there anywhere that would tell me how to call the commands behind the buttons.
I hope that makes sense
Thanks

All needed information you can find in Help file or in Sample projects. There is a lot of stuff you can control without using Viewer UI, so I cannot write all of possible commands on this forum.

Re: Office 2007 Style...
I understand that there is a huge amount of functionality within the activex / dll. The thing that I want to know is that even though the activex displays pre-defined menubars that offers a large amount of funtionality, what I want to do is create a office 2007 style button that will call the same code as the pre-defined menubars / buttons in the Activex.
I was wondering if there is a list of these?
Thanks in advance

No there is no such list. But samples which included in SDK fully show how you can control Viewer ActiveX without using its UI.

Re: Office 2007 Style...
I understand that's some people do not want the Office 2007 style, which is fair enough. And I know that I can create a menubar in any style that I want, however 1. this is obviously a lot of work but also when I then open windows for example the bookmark, comments search window these are obviously in a different style to my application. Is there a way that I can skin your activex control, I have found various third party skin programs, but these have no effect on your activex?
Any help or advise would be apreshiated

Nope, you cannot skin ActiveX component, however you can choose different colours for almost all AX UI elements. This may make AX fit better to the UI that you have designed.

Re: Office 2007 Style...
I was wondering if anything has moved on with regards to being able to skin or make the ActiveX control be in Office 2007, 2010 or 2012 style?
Thanks

Hello Simon,
I am sorry but no - you still can't customize the Viewer AX. We are working on the Editor SDK - and there you should have greater control, but this SDK is going to be available later this year.
Best,
Stefan
