How to use PDF X-change viewer with Thunderbird?

Hi everybody,
I'm a long-time user of PDF X-change viewer to read PDFs.

Anyway, I've never managed to solve an issue. I'd like to use it with thunderbird in a PC in which both Outlook and Thunderbird are installed. What I mean is that I'd like it to open Thunderbird and attach to a new email message the current PDF when I click on the email button in the toolbar.
I describe a bit the configuration of my PC: I use windows and, as said, I have both Thunderbird and Outlook installed. Outlook has no profile created as I've never used it; neither I can uninstall it as this is the policy of the place where I work (don't ask me why ); Thunderbird is the windows default client; the problem is that, when I click on the email button, Outlook tries to open, but, as there's no profile, it comes out with an error and consequently closes (Outlook closes, not PDF x-change viewer).

Would it be possible to configure PDF X-change viewer so that it opens thunderbird and not outlook? If so, how? I'm sorry if this is already a closed issue; I've searched "Thunderbird" in the forum and nothing useful showed up.

this is a known issue, related to the way a MAPI call is made. We are actively working on a solution but do not have an eta at this time.

thanks for your reply
At least I know I can stop going crazy with the settings of x-change pdf viewer.

It means that sooner or later I'll update my pdf viewer and will be gladly surprised of the solved issue.

Thanks for the understanding. BTW - I use Thunderbird too so this will not get forgotten - just prioritized...
