When I wish to only open a pdf, it also saves it to my computer. If I wanted it saved I would have clicked on the 'save' icon. How can I change PDF-XChange to only open and not save when I click on the 'open' icon?
Thanks!

Re: Opening saves the file
I think you may be wrong. From where are you opening these PDF files and how do you conclude that PDF-XChange is saving them automatically?
Of course, if you are using a browser plugin, then it will have to save them to a temporary download folder. Is that what you mean?

Re: Opening saves the file
As Bhikkhu stated as with all files opened on the interenet any plugin will make a copy in the temp folder for viewing as web browsers do with images, html files, flash files etc. all are download at least temporarily whilst being viewed online. If this is not what you are refering too please provide more detail.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Opening saves the file
I am using Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) as my default download manager and that is probably where the problem may lie. . .
I go to a website that has a pdf. I click on it and DAP brings up a window to open or save or Cancel. I click on "open" and it opens but also saves it to my desktop (my chosen default save location, when I do save). So I guess, I'm in the wrong forum--I should be asking this question to the DAP forum, although, if I'm wrong, feel free to answer.
Thanks!

Re: Opening saves the file
I believe you are correct that would seem to be a behaviour related to your download accelerator, as I have double checked and the only copies of PDF's viewed online are located in the temp folder, and no other local copy is found beyond that.
