Is it possible to make new layers to existing pdf file?

I'm would like to do different kind of comments (lines, texts etc) each to different layers and have option to hide one layer at a time.

Possible?

You can show/hide annotations of different types from the Comments menu: Comments View, Show by Type.

We will be adding 'Overlays' to the viewer in a coming release. They are already available in the Print Driver and PDF-Tools. These are somewhat analoguous to layers but without the 'Show/Hide' feature you are asking about. Perhaps Bhikkhu 's comment about showing and hiding comments is your best bet.

How about rotating the comments? For example I need to rotate the text 90 degrees, is that possible in future?

Rotate the page, add typewriter text or a text box (not comments or callouts) then rotate the page back again.

The attached file contains layers, but they do not hide when deselecting them in the layers pane. It works OK in Adobe Reader 9.3.3. Is this feature broken in build 53 or has it not been implemented yet?
