I downloaded a form (http://www.eletter.com.au/npc/WAPoliceA ... Signed.pdf) and filled it up in PDF Viewer. When I opened the form in PDF XChange Viewer, I got a prompt that: "This form requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat. The form may be displayed but it might not work properly. Some form elements might not be visible at all." Thinking that PDF Viewer is an up-to-date software, I opened it and filled in whatever I could see. When I printed the form, I was surprised to see that the warning was right. Some of the elements had indeed not been displayed.
I updated my PDF XChange Viewer just today, so I am sure I have the latest version.
So what is the problem? Why is PDF XChange Viewer not keeping up with Adobe? When will I be able to view and fill-in this form correctly?
FYI, I use Windows XP, Home Edition, SP3

Gidday BazzaBoy,
(I'm not being faceteous - I'm just a homesick Melbournian...)
we are constantly working on PDF-XChange to be "keeping up with Adobe" and have a major new build due out tomorrow that should resolve your problem. I can post you notification on this thread when it is available if you like.

Re: Some Elements Not Showing in PDF Viewer
Problem is because this PDF uses XFA forms which are not currently supported by the viewer (only Adobe Acrobat/Reader has complete support for such forms)

This is not to say that this is not a high priority for us. It is. We hope to be able to offer better support for XFA in build 42.1 in the coming weeks.

Re: Some Elements Not Showing in PDF Viewer
Many thanks Paul and Ivan,
I will look out for the updated version of PDF XChange Viewer. If I get a notification of the update, then that will be really appreciated. Good on you.
Will you be making similar improvements in the Portable version as well?
Best Regards,
Behram.

Re: Some Elements Not Showing in PDF Viewer
This was on the 9th of June. Is that update still to come? I have not received any notification yet and when I try to auto-update, it tells me that no update is required.we are constantly working on PDF-XChange to be "keeping up with Adobe" and have a major new build due out tomorrow that should resolve your problem. I can post you notification on this thread when it is available if you like.
So, I am a bit confused.
Waiting to hear from you.
Regards.

Hello BazzaBoy,
we are expecting the new build by the end of this week - mid -next week - if there are no unexpected delays.
the support of Digital Signatures is the biggest major element being incorporated and that requires a lot of work.

PMFJI, but may I ask (once more) if the support of PDFs with attachments will be included? (see http://www.docu-track.com/forum3/viewto ... 829#p27832)Tracker Supp-Stefan wrote: we are expecting the new build by the end of this week - mid -next week - if there are no unexpected delays.

Re: Some Elements Not Showing in PDF Viewer
Hi guebert,
The development team is always hard at work improving the product line as quickly as possible and do their best to accommodate all of our user requests as they can. Your patience is absolutely appreciated as much as your interest in improving our products. Please understand that some issues or features take precedence at times but never do they fall on deaf ears. And some features and improvements are more complicated to deploy than others.
The team is working on both of these topics and the requests will be satisfied as the dev team is satisfied with the functionality of any new feature being released to ensure deployment is as smooth as possible and well tested.
Thanks again,
Chris
