import/export annotations/comments issue

Post by reinierkops »

When I load a PDF, i check if there are comments files (xfdf), if so, i will import them.
But when I load another document into the viewer, I check if the previous document is modified, if so, I will export the comment to an xfdf. But the issue is, the document seems to modified, only when I apply the comments via an import.

Is there a workaround, that I can "see" if there a made changes or only imported old comments.

Import comments modifies the document, and there is no way to determine if a document was modified after or not (at least for now) - we do not distinguish how the document was modified.

For example some documents contain startup scripts, which will modify them, you may notice that the document therefore was modified immediately after opening it (without apparently doing anything!).
