I am sorry to trouble you again, but when will be possible to Add digital signature into PDF document by PDF-XChange Viewer Pro?

Many clients asked for this feature.

Digital signing is expected very soon (actually in the next build 42.1 which we are expecting in just a few days)

Copy and paste of comments would be realised there.

The release is ready, we are just finishing up other things around the installers so really soon it will be available for download.

Build 42.1 is released and stable. It includes Digitally signing. Document --> Sign Document.

You can create your own Digital Certificate right in the program or import your own.

This makes me happy.

Hello. Thank you. I am really happy to have this feature...
...but I am suffering a problem, when I "sign" a document or "place a signature", that signature is always considered as "INVALID" for the XChange viewer.
I have tried different certificates that I have (issued by different CA), and I got always the same.
I have also tried to sign a PDF with other tools (eg. directly with PDFCreator or with jSignPdf), and then the XChange Viewer considers that signatures as valid (in some cases, warning that the certifcation path could not be verified).
Any idea?

BTW... what is the difference between the options "sign" and "place"?

Can you send me (Ivan@tracker-software.com) any signed document where signature is marked as INVALID? For now we still not finished full validation of digi sigs and such files can be helpful for us.

About differences between sign and place: place allows you to create new signature field and sign it. Sing works by the following algorithm:
1. when there are no empty signature fields into the document sign works as place.
2. when there is only one unsigned signature field it starts to singing document using this fields (similar as you click on this field)
3. when there are more than one unsigned signature fields, it will show message to click on required field.
