I found a FAQ document about getting a document to open inside firefox.. my pdf's always want to be saved, and the FAQ fix didn't apply. Is there another way to get documents to open inside firefox??
Thank you

Re: open pdf in firefox
Do you have any other PDF readers installed on your machine?
And is there such trouble with IE?

Re: open pdf in firefox
I have had other readers but no others are currently installed. I do have Adobe CS4 installed.
I have this happen with both firefox and IE. I hadn't tried IE previously as I mostly use Firefox. But they both seem to do the same.
Thanks

Sorry for stupid question - are you sure that in your PDF-XChange Viewer settings you have "Display PDF in browser" option checked? And what FAQ document you have read?
Also what windows you are using, and do you have administrator rights when you setting "Display PDF in browser" option?
Thanks.

Re: open pdf in firefox
I'm using Vista Home Premium. Yes, I've actually tried checking and unchecking the option for "display PDF in browser". The FAQ was in the main forum which suggested to use about:config in firefox to check for a plugin setting. But since now it's in both Firefox and IE it must be something else... not sure if a previous install of adobe reader or something else has caused an issue. Any thoughts on what to look or would be appreciated.

Re: open pdf in firefox
Problem solved.. after playing with settings, removing and reinstalling I realized that the last site I had been using to test this feature forces a download... doh!
So while this was a problem for me initially, I didn't notice that somewhere down the line I fixed it...
Cheers (great product BTW)

Glad it's solved canuck2,

If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
