First- let me say that I am amazed at the responsiveness of the development team. Simply amazed. Thanks.
When I open a document from a web page, or directly from an outlook email attachment, the file name/location is then listed in the "recent files" list. However, if I use the recent file list to try to re-open the document, often I get en error that the file path is invalid. (This error happens if the mail has been sent or re-filed, or if the web browsing session has been closed, likely due to those files being stored in a temporary folder).
My feature request is this: Can the recent file list be automatically validated, perhaps at program launch, and the dead links removed?
Or another option could be if a file path includes "...temporary internet files...", or "...appdata...", it would not be saved in the recent list at all... a little less functional, but better, at least for me, than it is now.
I hope this does not sound like nit-picking; I really do hit dead links in my recent list several times a day.
Thank you for considering this request.

Re: Clean-up of recent files list
TabletThree,
We thank you for your kind remarks and as support staff we feel the same way towards our dev team. As for your request, I personally agree as I don't use the web plugin all my pdf's are viewed in the viewer and yes I hit many dead links as well so I would not call it nit-picking in the least. Your suggestion is appreciated and the development team , when they have some time will review your request and see if and when they can realize that functionality.
Thanks again for your support and feedback,
Chris

Re: Clean-up of recent files list
Hey TabletThree,
Good News, After speaking with the project team we agreed that having the viewer automatically comb through the recent files list on start would slow down the startup but they will add a remove dead links menu item. That will do that manually when you want it to. May be next build or near future but it is being addressed. Hope that will make the list more manageable for you.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi, TabletThree.
Go to "Menu/File/Recent files/Manage Recents List", click the "Clear" button and select "Broken Only" option from drop-down...
Or go to "Menu/Edit/Preferences/General/Opening Documents section and click "Manage..." button...
