Copy and Paste Text boxes and Sticky Notes

Hello,

Is there a way to copy and paste Text Boxes or Sticky Notes? I want to make the same change in several places in the same document and I don't see way to do this.

DanChisum,

It is possible with the later versions of the viewer. Please make sure you have the latest (as of today 42.2) and you should be able to do copy/paste with ease.

As of build 42.2 of the Viewer you can copy and paste objects, such as the annotations you mentioned please goto help->check for updates.

Yep, I didn't mean to do the double post.

I have a PDF where the copy and paste doesn't seem to be working, but if I take a blank page and save it as a pdf (using Word 07) and I can do it just fine.

Any thoughts?

Please attach a copy of the original Word 07 file and I'll have look at it, as the copy/paste object should not be affected by the originating document type. Thanks for the help. I think I got it working. I need to select the tool first and then paste it on the page....it's a little quirky, but it works.

One part of it is a little frustrating though. I'm not sure if it can be fixed. I have a text box I am pasting into a pdf. Each time I paste it the text box takes up the width of the page instead of keeping it sized as when I copied it. It's not a "bug" but an annoyance more then anything else. Any thoughts?

I find that text boxes are pasted at the same size, and at the same position on the page as where they were copied.

That's right and can be moved from that point, eventually the objects will be pasted at the point where the cursor is upon selecting paste, though no times frames have been given in regards to this as our teams are super busy working on the next build and this will be realized sometime in the future.

Thank you for this - very useful. Also thanks for the facility to move selected objects with the arrows or Shift+arrows.

BTW, I updated yesterday after reading this thread and couldn't do either of the above.
Just checked to see why and still had a Beta of 42. Looked in the folder and there found that I had:

D:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange Viewer\PDF Viewer\PDFXCview.exe (14/07)

and

D:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange Viewer\PDF Viewer\PDFXCview.exe (08/06)

and

D:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange Viewer\PDF-XChange Viewer\pdf-viewer\PDFXCview.exe also 08/06)

the last 2 being identical.

Is it OK just to delete the folders for the last 2?

Hey Giraffe,

The installation directories have been cleaned up drastically in the past 2 builds so the best thing to do would be to uninstall everything from the control panel. Then go throught the program files directory to remove anything that is remaining manually. Reinstall and it should all be very clear from that point on.

I've just deleted all of the 'redundant' folders and everything still works, so I'll try your suggestion if anything goes wrong or the next update does something weird.
In Revo Uninstaller the entry is the latest version, so that update gas 'taken'.

Sounds good, the install directories for all installers were standardized last build so there should be no issues from build 165 on.
