In my Viewer preferences, the measurement unit is set to inches. But when I use the Distance tool, distances are displayed as "1.4 m" for example. What does the "m" unit mean? (I am using 42.2)
Thanks.

Re: Measurement units
That would be meters,
and there are two settings - one is for the distance on the paper and the other one is to what it corresponds allowing you to represent a scaling that might be present in the drawing. You can see there is an equality ( = ) sign between those two.
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: Measurement units
I'm afraid you have lost me. When I go to the Preferences dialog and select the Measurement category, there is only one option and that is Units. The choices are centimeters, inches, millimeters, picas and points.
Where would I find the two settings that you are talking about?

Re: Measurement units
Hi upgradedeveloper,
the distance tool, when selected brings up a context sensitive toolbar, on which there are options for the distance tool, including the units Stefan mentions.
see attached screenshot.
