Tab context menu - Feature request

Post by necromancer »

In addition to "Copy Full File Name" it would be efficient to have another option saying "Copy File Name", i.e. leave the Path off. Yeah, one could paste then edit but IMHO the software should do the work not me.

Hi necromancer,

The File name only can be accessed via File -> Document Properties (Ctrl + D) and the first thing that shows is "file info" with a selectable filename as the first item there.

The main menus are already pretty crowded so adding a specific command to them should be well thought over, the command should be meaningful, and usable by the majority of people to be considered for inclusion there. And as there is already another way to copy the filename I do not know if this request would be implemented. If you have any other arguments than "the software should do the work not me", please feel free to share them. :)

Regards,
Stefan

Not as elegant but the Tip does get the job done. Thanks for passing it along.

You are welcome :)

As a side note you can also click the path displayed below the filename in the document properties window and it will work as "Open Containing Folder"

Cheers,
Stefan
