scan function ergonomy

Hello,

I have some remarks on the scan function in the ActiveX. Our clients say that it's not very ergonomic to use this function.
To scan one document, they must make 4 clics. They have to :

1 - Lunch command (Normal)



2 - Choose scanner -- ActiveX dlg -- (Why not have a button to use automatically the default one !!!? such as Print in the MS office, one button to print directly to default printer )



3 - Choose driver parameters (Have you any idea how to scan directly using default parameters)
3' - Wait for scaning (Why not have a real time display ? display incrementally pages scaned !!! )
4 - Close driver parameters window (Why it's not closed automatically when scaning action is finished !!!?)



Proposition :

1/ Let this solution and add a new button (or command) to scan directly using the default scanner and default parameteres and close driver dlg when finished.

2/ Display a preview in the ActiveX for each scanned page in the same document (increment number of pages) .

PS : Our client scan more than 100 documents per day (4 * 100 = 400 clics per day )

Actually, the scanner driver dialog should be closed by the scanner drivers (not by the Viewer).

For example on my HP scanner this dailog is closed automatically once the scan is intiated.

We will look at scanning using default scanner.

Thanks for response. When I use the same scanner with the same driver with an other software (like photofiltre) the scanner driver dialog is closed automatically

And what about displaying scanned pages at real time (increment document pages) ???
