Hi,
A hopeful question.
Is it possible to build in an option to edit the default text generated by the distance tool.
I understand the usefulness of the default text as being the reasoning behind having a distance tool, but I guess I am trying to use the function as a visual dimensioning tool for illustrative purposes. For that purpose it would be nice for me personally to have the option of user defined text.
Currently, I can actually get around this by turning off the default text, then using the typewriter tool and placing my own text over the dimension line.

You can add custom text to the 'standard' distance text. To do this, press right mouse button on distance annotation and select "Edit Label"

Thanks. I did try this, but it leaves the default text in place and adds the custom text above, thus displaying both.

Is it possible that the edit default text option will be incorporated into some future build? No real hardship if it isn't planned, I am just curious.
