Converting demo version
We purchased, downloaded and installed PDF-Xchange Pro and copied and pasted our serial number into the product. The serial number does not start with PXC so I should not need a different code. The watermark still appears on the documents we create, how do I correct this?

I'm not sure of your meaning when you say; "The serial number does not start with PXC so I should not need a different code"? Not intending to offend in any way but did you buy Xchange Pro or Xchange Viewer Pro. The former creates pdf documents with it's printer driver - (and also includes pdf-tools and a pro version of the viewer.) The latter views documents but does not create them.tlebretore wrote:We purchased, downloaded and installed PDF-Xchange Pro and copied and pasted our serial number into the product. Xchange Pro serials begin with PXP40... and that number should be in Print - Properties - PDF-Xchange4 - About - Registration Code.

Hi tlebretore
please send your serial code and a description of your problem by email to support@pdf-xchange.com and we can tell you exactly what products it is valid for. Do not post it in the forum.

Re: Converting demo version
Hi tlebretore,
I haven't seen your email with the serial code yet, though I can tell you that serial codes beginning with PVP20 are for PDF-XChange Viewer Pro and will not work with PDF-XChange 4 Pro (other than for the Viewer PRO which is installed as part of this bundle) .
It appears to me that we have a missmatch between serial code and it's associated product.
If you wanted only PDF-XChange Viewer - then you have the correct serial number and need to install this program: http://www.docu-track.com/download/PDFXVwer.zip to use with it.
If you wanted PDF-XChange 4 Pro - which includes PDF-XChange Viewer as well as PDF-Tools, Office2pdf, Office Addin and PDF-XChange 4 print driver for creating pdf documents then you will need to upgrade you license to PDF-XChange 4 Pro (bundle).
If you did buy the wrong product, fear not, having bought PDF-XChange Viewer, you are eligible for a discount on the full package sufficient to bring the final price to you very close to that of purchasing the Pro bundle in the first place. There will be a few dollars difference because of the charges involved in the additional transactions. To take advantage of this please register your PVP20-... serial code on our website here: http://www.docu-track.com/login/register Once you have done this you will be presented (only whilst logged in to your new account) with your upgrade discount.

Re: Converting demo version
We purchased PDF-XChange Viewer Pro. We are attempting to be able to edit PDF's that were scanned in via a scanner. Will his product work or do I need the 4-Pro bundle you mentioned?
thanks for your help! - Tom

Re: Converting demo version
The Viewer will create a PDF from scanner with just the Viewer Pro license but when you say edit do you mean the actually text?
The produced PDF form a scanner becomes an image based PDF and is not "editable" you can modify it by placing a blank text box over the text to be changed, document->flatten comments, and then add a new text box matching the text font and size and replace the text as required.
Like digital "white out"
Converting to searchable text would require an OCR (optical character recognition) component which we are in the works on and is due to be release early in the new year.

Chris
