Actually, there is. After pressing Control D, press Alter K — the access key for the Keywords field.
When I tried earlier it didn't seem to be working, but now it is.

Yes that will set the focus to the Keywords field without having to reach for the mouse.
I was only thinking of direct ways using a single key combination - hence my first post.
