Error [PDF Structure 40]: Unknown/unsupported...

When I try to open certain PDF files i get this message...

Error opening document "C:\Document...":
Error [PDF Structure 40]: Unknown/unsupported security handler.

Anyone know how to get around this? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

In the file you sent a custom security handler is used (File Open). There is a plugin for Adobe Acrobat which will allow it to handle such files, but the PDF-XChange Viewer cannot at present.

We are planning to implement a plugins system into the viewer, and maybe will support some Acrobat plugins, but for now I cannot promise this.

Ok thanks for the quick response... Hope this is something that can get added to viewer. I love this software and would love to implement it at my workplace.

Hi pdfformoose,

while still in progress I do believe this should be ready in V3. If not the initial release then a later one. Don't take this as a confirmed answer though - I think we'd best wait and see what comes in V3.
