Hey - first off, let me say that I'm loving this software. I found it on LifeHacker and it immediately replaced foxit on my computer.
But I'm having serious issues with the typewriter tool. The problem is that I have the default set to Courier New 10 pt (in preferences>>Javascript), and when I open a new text box, it uses that font. But when I highlight text and type over it (the only way to do it w/o using the mouse, as far as I can tell), it always reverts to the larger Arial. This is turning into a huge issue. If I have to completely replace data in a text box, I have to leave the first character, type my data, and then go back and delete the first character.
Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a fix for this. Thanks!
Oh, I'm running the latest version according to the update tool on Windows XP.

Re: Typewriter keeps changing fonts
I suspect you have not set the default font correctly - please see here :

and advise if you still have a problem after so doing - thanks.

Re: Typewriter keeps changing fonts
I did that.
But I think I see the problem: the default for the old textboxes don't change, so I can create a new textbox and it will use the new default, and it will stay the default no matter what I do, but the textboxes created before I set the default revert to the old default.
Not sure that's a particularly helpful feature, but now that I (think I) know what's going on, I think I can work around it.
Thanks.

Re: Typewriter keeps changing fonts
Hi jah,
you should set the default Typwriter font this way:
Create a Typewriter Text object. Double click the object to select the text within that object not the object itself (border fill etc), then with that text still highlighted right click to get the context sensitive menu --> text formatting --> Set Current Text Formatting as Default.
Note that the properties of the text are set seperately from the properties of the object itself. Setting it this way should resolve your problem.

Sorry - jah - I was writing this response - after posting saw that John had also. Please disregard .
