I have a few issues with the PDF Exchange Viewer in our windows 2008 Enviornment. I'm hoping someone has expereinced the same thing.
1. The web browser plugin for IE does not show the menu bar's by default. Is there a way to turn this on by deafult for every user without having them to hit F8 or F11?
2. Outlook 2007 PDF preview handlers and file associations are not set. How do we fix this?
3. Send by Email - We have a few web based programs that open PDF's with the browser plugin. If we choose send by email the attachement of the PDF has an extension of ASPX or HTM depending on what the website was developed under. If I open an attachement from the client through windows explorer we get the correct pdf extension attachement to an outlook message. Is there a way to set the browser plug-in to always make the attachemnt. ".pdf" instead of assuming the web page format?
4. Browser Plugin- We have certain web based applications that produces an error when we try to open a document we get an error about the temporary internet file location, the document has a weird extension and we can't view the document.
All of these issues do not occure with Adobe reader version 9.0. We have an issue with the adobe product with slow printing of documents. Very slow. Your product seems to print faster which is a big plus. If you have any tips on to improve the speed of printing, please let me know as well.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: PDF Exchange Viewer in Wndows 2008 Terminal Environments
Hi Mike,
Our Project Leader just told me that he will set up a TS on win 2008 to test why those issues are still not resolved. We thought we have nailed them already but it seems that there might be some permission issues.
We will let you know when we have some extra info to add to the topic.
Best regards,
Stefan

Wonderful! I really hope to get your product working since the Adobe Viewer is so bloated and runs so slow. I have also included a screen shot of what the browser plugin is doing with a few of our applications. This example is the send by email. For whatever reason the extension of the PDF is incorrect.

Hello mshollack,
If you have tried to attach files to this topic they are not here.
Please zip/rar/7z them and then try to reattach, as the forums will reject any other type of file.
Best,
Stefan
