Language display

Post by Rekusu »

Hi there,

I have downloaded a 12 dodecahedron calendar from http://www.ii.uib.no/~arntzen/kalender/. The English version is great on screen and prints OK.

The Japanese version does not display the days of the week in Japanese. Likewise for Chinese, but the Korean one looks fine.

Deos PDF-XChange viewer need Asian language support of display these languages?

Many thanks,

Rex

No Rekusu,

The Viewer does support asian languages, but since these fonts require extended character glyph information to be embedded with the fonts for proper display within a PDF reader, you'll notice that they do not display properly in adobe reader either.

You could email the creator of the calendars in question and ask if they'd embed their asian fonts with extended font/character information. That will clear up the error I believe.

Regards,
Chris
