Most browsers use F11 as the fullscreen mode key.
When using the browser plugin if the PDF plugin has focus, F11 won't work.
If the browser is given focus, then F11 will enter fullscreen mode. Then it becomes nearly impossible for the ordinary user to exit fullscreen mode as F11 won't work once the plugin grabs focus. (Pressing Alter Tab a couple of times will give focus back to the browser)
Could the browser plugin be made to send the F11 shortcut to the browser if its not assigned to show/hide all toolbars?
(BTW Why was F12 chosen as the default for fullscreen mode and not F11 or Ctrl L used by Adobe Reader?)
I use Opera, but this also applies to the PDF plugin in Internet Explorer.

Re: Fullscreen Mode With Browser Plugin
You are right Bhikkhu,
indeed it's a bit tricky to get the focus back to the browser and exit the full screen mode
(requires a single press of the Alt key and then escape brings back the opera interface)
But the F11 key is customizable in our Viewer.
Will discuss with the dev guys if something can/should be done here.
As for the logic behind selecting F12 - I do not know, but it was an available key and there were already function keys used to toggle toolbars so why not
