Hi - Just starting using the Pro verison of PDF-Xchange viewer.
It's working fine, expect I try changes prefs to not show the splash screen and also minimise and close to system tray.
These work until I log off Windows. When I log back in, the splash screen pops up again and it's not set to minimise to system tray.
I'm using Windows XP 64-bit.
Is there a solution to this or anyone else experince it?
Cheers.

Re: Preferences keep resetting to default
I haven't seen that in reading the forum. There were some issues in the past with default folders and paths.. I do recall an instance of registration info being lost upon the restart of Windows. That was resolved by an uninstall, reboot, reinstall to latest version.
Get the latest version and give that a try.. You can save any settings before doing so.

Re: Preferences keep resetting to default
Yes give that a try, and but if unsuccessful you can try this.
1) Setup the viewer the way you want the default settings to be.
2) Click Edit-> Export all Settings to Data File and save it somewhere easy to find.
3) Run Regedit and chnage the default value for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PDF-XChangeViewer.1\shell\Open\command
By default it contains:"C:\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange\PDF Viewer\PDFXCview.exe" "%1"
4) Change this value to: "C:\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange\PDF Viewer\PDFXCview.exe" /usep "<filename>" "%1"
Where <filename> if full path to the settings file you just created.
5) Reboot your system
Hope the reinstall works though

Chris

Re: Preferences keep resetting to default
Cheers for the replies guys.
I am using the latest version, but will try uninstall/reinstalling. Can't do this till tomorrow, so will let you know how I get on.
Thanks.
