the issue between portable version and 64bit version
Hi, I've tried both portable version (32bit) and 64bit non-portable version, however, lingoes' instant translation works well on portable version but doesn't work on the 64 bit non-portable version. Why? I've tried the 32bit non-portabel installer but I can't install it on my windows 7 64bit system.

Does your translator support 64-bit applications?

Yes, that's the problem. I've tested. Lingoes also doesn't work on 64-bit IE explorer as well. Could you tell me if I can get the 32 bit version to install on my system ? Or how can I set file relation to windows with portable version ?

Since you have 64-bit OS best solution is check is there and upgrade to your translator. If yes - you will get it working with all 64-bit programs.
For now you cannot install 32-bit viewer on 64-bit OS.
And to set file association to portable version you should open context menu for any pdf file, select Open With ... In opened dialog check option "Always use selected programm ..." and select portable version of Viewer (use Browse button to specify correct path).

Thank you very much for replying so quickly.
Unfortunately, there is no upgrade for my translator. I've already tried to associate pdf file to portable version. However, It just doesn't work. I don't know why, after I chose PDFXCview.exe as the program to open the pdf file, there's nothing happened. Windows would use one of programs which is listed in the "open with" window to open it. It's quite strange. I'm sure the path is correct.

Hi, lizard1100.
You may use one method to make pdf-association for the portable-version:
1. Open folder with portable application (which contains the file 'PDFXCview.exe').
2. Rename 'portable.dat' file to '_portable.dat'
3. Run the 'PDFXCview.exe' from this folder.
4. Go to 'Preferences/File Associations' and press the 'Make Default..' button.
5. Close the application.
6. Rename '_portable.dat' to 'portable.dat'.
Best
Regards.

Glad to hear
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
