Mouse pointer drop shadow

Post by dylanroehrig »

Hello,

I'm using PDF-XChange Viewer Version 2.0 in a Windows Server 2003 SP2 Citrix environment and am having an issue with the mouse pointer shadow. I have the pointer shadow turned off in Windows, but any of the pointers in PDF-XChange Viewer (the hand tool or snapshot tool for example) have shadows on them. This seems to cause them to have quite a bit of lag in the remote access environment. Is there any way to turn off the shadows on the mouse pointers within the application? I've purchased the PDF-XChange 4 Pro suite, so if it's an option in there someplace I have that.

Thanks
Dylan

Hi Dylan,

In the viewer you in stalled please goto Help->About and let me know what build you are using, Your issue is known and in the latest release 42.10 many more of the mouse shadows have been turned off to resolve the issues with both Citrix and Terminal Server.

I see, I bet that's the issue then, I'm on Build 42.9. Is it just a simple update?

I believe you can either goto Help Check for updates in the viewer. Or download the installer and install as per your normal server install routine and it'll overwrite 42.9.
