List Box gives error

We have a number of users that are currently using Adobe Reader to modify a form then pass it along to someone else. The form I am refering to has a few text boxes, a drop down list and a few spots for digital signatures. We are currently evaluating PDF XChange Pro as a solution to replace Adobe Reader for some of our users but not all. We have identified an issue where after a PDF XChange Pro user modifies a document then saves it (wether by doing a digital signature copy or a straight save), Adobe Acrobat gives an error when opening that document. I have tracked the issue down to the drop down list that is on the form. The drop down box works fine in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Professional until the file is modified by a PDF XChange Pro user by making a selection from the drop down list.

The error adobe returns is:
"An Error exists on this page. Acrobat my not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."

When you first open the from with Adobe Acrobat the list box appears empty even though one of the values was selected previous to saving the document with PDF XChange Pro. When I click on the list box the correct value appears then as soon as I click away it disappears again. The behavior is not observed when signing the document with an Adobe product. It seems this is a case of incompatibility with Adobe Products.

I have a 3rd issue that I have identified where it appears that PDF XChange doesn't support rich text text boxes. The details are in the email.
