Scrolling when copying text from more than one page?

Not sure if this is doable or not--when I use the text select tool and select text, then move down to another page, what happens is that all the text on the second page automatically gets selected, even if I only want a few sentences.

Is there an option to uncheck to prevent this? I looked in the settings window but didn't see anything that looked like it would do this, and a forum search didn't turn up anything either.

It is not quite all of the text, but I see what is happening.

Switch to continuous page mode to have better control of text selection.

Edit: I see now, you mean the whole of the text on the previous page is selected.

That looks like a bug to me

It is pretty much all of the page. If I block out the last paragraph on page 2, for example, and then scroll down to include the first paragraph on page 3, ALL of page three gets blocked out.

I selected continuous page view mode, but I think that was what I was already using before. Nothing changed after making that selection.
