Build 48 of PDF-XChange Viewer has been released and correctly functions with Firefox again.
All those that have experienced issues with PDF-XChange displaying documents in Firefox should update to this version. Take a look here for details https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/241 on how to update your software.
Please be sure when you run the installer that Firefox is not running as it can lock the dll that needs to be updated causing the update to fail to correct the issue.
Best regards

It doesn't bother me, as I don't use Firefox, but just to report that Firefox still uses the Adobe plugin, even though I have PDF Viewer plugin selected for PDF documents. I have uninstalled PDF-XChange, reinstalled from a fresh download, and rebooted my PC. I am using Windows XP Home.

The addons plugins are listed in alphabetical order. The PDF-XChange 2.0.48.0 plugin is listed, along with those for Adobe Reader 9.3.1. (first in the alphabetical list) and Foxit Reader for Mozilla.
In options advanced, the PDF-XChange reader is selected but the Adobe Reader plugin is used.

Oops, looks like we have found little problem with plugin registration process. Anyway it's already fixed, and new build with this fix will be available shortly.
Thanks for provided information.
I am sorry but 2.0.48.0 is not working for me in two installations of FF 3.6. The dll is correctly registered in FF, about:plugins correctly lists it. Adobe is disabled in one and completely not installed in the other installation. In the FF "Tools, Options, Applications" I selected PDF Xchange viewer to view PDF inside Firefox. Upon clicking the link nothing happens, when choosing to open the link in a new window, FF only shows a blank tab with the correct URI but no PDF.
Choosing to open PDF in PDF Xchange viewer externally does work as expected and downloads the file and subsequently opens it in the standalone reader.
We will need more information to investigate your problem. So as I understand, at second time you have installed only PDF-XChange Viewer (without Adobe plugin) and when you open PDF file in FF you get blank (black) page? Can you specify what version of OS you have and what installation file of PDF-XChange Viewer you are using?
That data was already submitted via email to Paul. No, I have two seperate installations running on two separate machines (laptop and desktop). Both are on Windows XP SP3 running Firefox 3.6, the PDF Xchange Viewer itself is working as expected but Firefox integration is failing. The correct DLL is in the correct location in Firefox and is also shown correctly in Firefox addons page. 2.0.48.0 is displayed. Nevertheless when choosing to open a PDF nothing appers to happens. Opening the PDF link in a new tab only displays the URL of PDF in the address bar but nothing is shown and no dll appears to be loaded.
I still cannot find information about what installation file you have used. Also - are you sure that you have installed only one copy of PDF-XChange, and you have not used portable version before?
Please, try to do following steps:
- Run PDFXCview.exe (from actual installed Viewer directory) with the "/RegServer" parameter.
- Run regsvr32.exe with the "PDFXCviewAx.dll" parameter.
HTH.

Hi Corwin,
I re-registered DLL's as you suggested but that does not solve the problem for me. Still no viewer in Firefox....
I still cannot reproduce your problem on any of my test machines. So please wait for next build, and try to do full reinstall of PDF-XChange with latest install.
