Enabling PDF-XChange to atoumatically replace Adobe Reader
I am obviously not an expert but I don't like the ongoing challenges that Adobe presents with their security vulnerabilities and resource requirements. I want to be able to use PDF-X in any case where a web-site etc would be looking for Adobe. How please

Re: Enabling PDF-XChange to automatically replace Adobe Reader
This is a setting in your browser.
In PDF-XChange there is also a setting in Preferences, File Associations, Display PDF in browser.
However, you also have to tell your browser which plugin should be used (if any).
In Opera this is done through Preferences, Download, MIME types.
In Firefox it is done via Tools, Options, Applications.
If you're still using Internet Explorer I recommend changing to something else.

Re: Enabling PDF-XChange to atoumatically replace Adobe Reader
thanks Bhikkhu,
what browser are you using? We have addins for IE and Firefox and they are known to work with Opera as Bhikkhu mentioned as well as Google Chrome. By default these addins are checked during the installation of PDF-XChange Viewer.
If you are having problems with one of these please provide details,
regards

Thank you both so much. Using FF and all is now well.
