I have several newspapers stored as pdf's. I want to copy the text from a few articles and place them in a word file. The only problem is that the when I try to copy, the highlighted area stretches across all the columns on the page. Is there any way I can extract the text one column at a time?
Thank You,
Gary Teresi

Re: Columns
Perhaps it depends on the PDF, but with the one that I tested I was able to select only one column of text by clicking at the beginning of the column, then shift clicking at the end of the column. And, if I do select all three columns, the text is copied to the clipboard in the right sequences.
If you can attach a sample PDF as a zip file for testing, it would be helpful

Re: Columns
If you cannot select text in one column - please select with Alt key pressed (rectangular selection).
