Missing Annotation Featues in Viewer & Update to New Version

I have a license for PDFxchange 4.0. Just recently, when I open a document with viewer, it does not give me the annotation options. Do I need to reinstall.

Also, I see there is a newer version of Pro. I am running 4.0.0165. Is this a free upgrade or is there a fee? How do I update my program.

Love the ability to annotate. Very helpful.

Hi,

Your upgrade to the latest release is indeed free - sounds like you are using the full PDF-XChange PRO - not just the Viewer - so I would uninstall all - restart your system and then download and install :

www.tracker-software.com/PDFX4.zip

All should then be well.

Uninstalled the old version 0165, the old viewer and a program regarding "extensions" [not sure what this is for]. Restarted and reinstalled 179.

But, the problem still exists. When I open a pdf using explorer, I just get a solid blue bar at the top with the logo at the left. No toolbar with the annotation features.

Any ideas.

HI Gary,

the Viewer and the Print Driver have different version/build numbers. Since you are installing from the PDF-XChange 4 Pro bundle (my assumption here) can I ask you to quickly check/confirm from within the Viewer what it's version/build number is?

Open the Viewer and go to

Code: Select all

Help --> About PDF-XChange Viewer

In the About Window that opens it should say Version: 2.0 (Build 49.0)
