Its been a bit wetter this year !

But overall - its a great place to be and the summers tend to be great - once they get started - not too hot and certainly sunnier than anywhere else in Canada year on Year - at least so the tourist board tell us

Thinking about Nanaimo
Because of the weather, partly, also because it is closer to some of my children and grandchildren who live in Calgary (where I do not plan to move)
Because of mushrooms too. One of my grandsons wants me to teach him how to identify them.
I have visited a few times and I enjoyed BC very much. I am just afraid of grey skies since it rains quite a lot.
But you seem to say lots of sun ...

sun in the summer for sure - but the winters can be 'wet' and we are about mid way between Nanaimo and Victoria - in Duncan.

Enjoy those mushrooms - just make sure you pick the right ones !!!
