Measuring tool font formating

Post by chrus »

I have a PDF with black background. Using the measure tool the text font of the measure is not visible (because the text is formated also black). I was not able to format the measurment text in color, text size or font (all the other elements of the measure element are perfectly formatable).
I hope there will be an update to make it possible to change the text font, because this feature is really cool.

(Words for german indexing search engines - because I found no other indication to this topic in the Web: PDF-XChange Viewer Werkzeug Entfernung Text Font Formatierung Farbe Schriftgröße)

Hello Chrus,

You are correct that for the moment the caption's text can not be changed.
Will speak with the dev team now to see whether and when this can be implemented :)

Kind Regards,
Stefan

Hello zimbel12,

I have passed your question to the devs, and will see if we can add it in the "ToDo" list if the PDF specification allows it.

Best,
Stefan

Hello,

I have come to this forum in search of the exact same question.

The default font is oversized and I need/want to change its colour and style. I see this point was raised over 4 years ago!!! this doesn't bode well if it is now 2014 and this feature is still not added.

I have version 2.5 build 308.2 (June 2014)

Hi GWA,

thanks for the post. This was not implemented, mostly because it was in the Viewer and at the time the Editor was being worked on as it's replacement. It is not trivial to implement and we have had higher priorities for the Editor. This is why it is not in the current build nor is it slated to be done soon.

If it helps, it may be possible to change the font style and size of these after the fact using JavaScript. Would that be something you are interested in? We'd need to throw some JavaScript script together.
