Watermark Appears

Post by airhockeycanada »

Good afternoon.

A colleague of mine upgraded to PDF XChange Viewer 2.0.50 (free version) and found that when she viewed certain pdf files a watermark appeared. The watermark says something to the affect of "PDF XChange Viewer Trial Version". Apparently, the issue was with pdf's displayed within the browser. She uses IE v8 on a XP Pro SP3 operating system.

Is this a build 50 issue? What was changed, if anything? Is there a setting she should change to alleviate this from happening?

I have almost converted my whole office to PDF XChange Viewer from Adobe Reader however, quirky things like this are making some hesitate to use your software. I want to change that as I like your product much better than Adobe Reader.

I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi Steven,

can you please send us a sample file ..

I suspect that she has modified a file using one of the features not available in the FREE version and saved it - hence the issue ..

All PRO features can be hidden if required to avoid any such instance in the 'Edit Menu -> Registrations -> General' option

A sample file would allow us to be more specific.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Best regards
