Hi gbeckerman,

since PDF-XChange 4 is fully supported in Windows 7 and 64 bit OSes simply get your serial code form your web account if you have it: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/login

If you do not yet have an account please do create one and register your serial https://www.pdf-xchange.com/account/register as it provides a mechanism not only to retrieve this serial again in future but also will let you take advantage of any upgrades discounts you may be eligible for.

If you don't have it recorded on the website and you can't find it from the email is was sent in you can get it from the current installation of the Viewer:

Edit --> Preferences --> Registration --> Registration Key.

Save this serial key somewhere (better yet register is as mentioned above) and enter it when you run the installer on the new PC.

If the product you own is the Viewer use this installer: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip if it is something else get the installer from the products download page: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads
Best regards

Went to register and got message that License Number was incorrect or expired. I checked several times for typos. Do you have to renew licenses after a period of time?

Sorry, my bad. I had transposed some letters. All is well. Thanks for your help.

Sorry. I'm back. I "fixed" the transposition of the serial number BUT when I returned to scan a new document I got the logos again. I looked in preferences and saw that the license number had been rest to my old incorrect one. I tired several times but could not get to accept the simple change. It keeps resetting the the incorrect number. Any ideas?

Hi Gary,

Seems like the serial number is not being copied to all your registry entries for all users setup on your system - the best way to resolve is to fully uninstall and restart your PC - ensuring you have full admin rights.

Then download the latest release available and enter your serial number into the installer when requested - this will reset all registry entries for all users on your PC automatically
