Hello from a new PDF XChange Viewer user.
When I adjust the layout of toolbars, disappearing some, removing icons from others,
the changes I make are not remembered upon a restart of PDF XChange Viewer.
I must be doing something incorrectly but don't know what.
Can someone help out with a list of steps I need to take to get my changes remembered.
Thanks.

Are you using the portable version of PDF-XChange?

Re: Toolbar custom layout not remembered.
tigger6333,
Another thing that might be interfering is if you have two instances of the Viewer running, if you make the changes to one instance and close it (thinking this will apply the new settings), when you close the other it saves it's current settings (which are the "old" ones for you).
So please try again.
Also check if you are not running some third party software that might be limiting registry access for our Viewer.
Best,
Stefan

HI Stefan
I am definitely not running 2 instances of the viewer.
AFAIK there is nothing stopping registry changes. I have settings to warn me and me to decide.
When Viewer does it's thing there is no warning, so I am assuming no attempt to change the registry.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Hi tigger6333,
are you able to export and import the settings to/from a file?
